Guglielmo Marconi is the scientist who invented and developed the technology and for this very reason he is one of the most well-known and admired people abroad. His fame comes from his invention of "wireless communication".
Already at the age of 21, in 1895 he achieved his first results in wireless communication. In a few years it became the point of reference for research on radio waves and their application. Marconi crossed 3000 km of the Atlantic Ocean in December 1901; this discovery was his best achievement which was followed by the nickname of "great innovator".
Even today, in the age of digital and globalization, many of the technologies (cellular phones, satellite, radio and television) that characterize our society and our daily activities are based on wireless connections, of which Marconi was a far-sighted pioneer.
Thanks to the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation it is possible to take a dive into the past, in fact through guided tours, the visitor has the opportunity to retrace the events that characterized the education and life of Guglielmo Marconi with particular attention to the period from 1895 to 1901.
